HD: Random Commentary 08: Battlefield 3 Beta (PC) [Metro & Caspian Border]

Footage from Battlefield 3 Open Beta captured on the 29th & 30th of September. Battlefield 3 is a work in progress and as such this footage does not represent the finished product. I managed to get some gameplay footage from the locked down Caspian Border, which apparently now has ended (thank god I filmed it!). But a lot of footage is from Operation Metro; Rush Mode, hence most of the highlights are from that (I played a lot more of it as it was freely available unlike Caspian) I managed to capture footage of pretty much every vehicle (tank, anti air, buggy, jeep, helicopter and jet) and it certainly looks like a return to form and up to the high Standards of Battlefield 2 gameplay wise. The air vehicles seem quite hard to control, although I was on a very laggy server, not to mention it was the first time in 4 years I’d been in a jet or helicopter in a Battlefield game. The topic is Battlefield 3, my impressions of the beta and pointing out various bugs (it is Beta so it’s to be expected) also comparing BF3 to BF2 it’s predecessor. I do talk quite a bit about it and I am really looking forward to the official release of this game on the 25th of October 2011. I’m sure the majority of the bugs will be fixed by then (already I think the terrain bug on Metro was fixed) as they certainly have many active and willing Beta testers.
